A differenza dei farmaci tradizionali di sintesi chimica, i farmaci biologici sono macromolecole complesse (spesso proteine) prodotte all&#8217;interno di organismi viventi o sistemi cellulari attraverso avanzate tecniche di ingegneria genetica e DNA ricombinante.<\/p>\n<p>Il percorso formativo partir\u00e0 dall&#8217;analisi della complessit\u00e0 strutturale di queste molecole, sottolineando come le modifiche post-traduzionali e la struttura terziaria siano determinanti per l&#8217;efficacia terapeutica. Verranno approfondite le sfide legate al processo produttivo industriale, illustrando le fasi critiche di fermentazione, purificazione e controllo qualit\u00e0 che garantiscono la sicurezza del paziente.<\/p>\n<p>Un focus specifico sar\u00e0 dedicato alla distinzione cruciale tra farmaco &#8220;originator&#8221; e &#8220;biosimilare&#8221;. Verranno chiariti i motivi scientifici per cui non \u00e8 possibile applicare il concetto di &#8220;generico&#8221; ai biologici, discutendo i rigorosi esercizi di comparabilit\u00e0 richiesti dalle agenzie regolatorie (EMA, FDA) per dimostrare l&#8217;assenza di differenze clinicamente significative.
