Non-EU student mobility to Senegal – University of Macerata


The call for non-EU mobility to Senegal within the Magellano 2025/26 programme is now open, aimed at students of the University of Macerata enrolled in:

  • Master’s degree programmes of the Department of Humanities

  • Master’s degree programmes of the Department of Political Science, Communication and International Relations

The mobility is part of the ENGINES Project – ENhancing Governance and Innovation capacities for the higher Education System regeneration (Project Code: TNE23-00047 – CUP: E11B24000500006), funded by PNRR, which promotes academic collaboration and innovation in higher education systems.

The destination partner university is Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, one of the leading academic institutions in West Africa.


Application period: November 2025
Planned departure: January 2026

Call for Applications – TNE Project “ENGINES: ENhancing Governance and INnovation capacities for the higher Education System regeneration”
Mobility for academic staff to carry out teaching activities abroad.


Within the framework of the TNE Project “ENGINES: ENhancing Governance and INnovation capacities for the higher Education System regeneration” (Project Code: TNE23-00047), coordinated by the University of L’Aquila, a call for applications is hereby announced for the award of financial grants, within the limits of the Project’s available budget.

The call is reserved for teaching staff and researchers of the University of Macerata, in order to support mobility periods at the following partner universities abroad participating in the Project:

  • Kenyatta University (subject areas: Education Sciences, Cultural Heritage and Tourism)

  • Pwani University (subject areas: Education Sciences, Cultural Heritage and Tourism)

  • Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar (subject areas: Languages and Literatures, Communication Sciences)

The University of Macerata offers students enrolled in the following degree programmes within the Department of Education, Cultural Heritage and Tourism the opportunity to carry out a non-EU international mobility period at Pwani University and Kenyatta University (Kenya) between November 2025 and March 2026:

  • Education and Training Sciences

  • Primary Education Sciences

  • Pedagogical Sciences

  • Cultural Heritage and Tourism

  • Cultural Heritage Management

  • International Tourism and Destination Management

A total of 8 mobility grants are available to cover travel and accommodation expenses.
The grants are intended for students with a minimum English language proficiency level of B1.

The mobility period allows students to attend courses and, if applicable, work on their thesis, with recognition of academic credits upon return.


Application deadline: 27 October 2025, at 9:00 p.m. (Italian time).

The International Mobility Call for study and training activities has been published, within the framework of the PNRR projects TNE ENGINES, HEALTH CONNECT, and MOVING ITALIANNESS.


The “Transnational Educational Initiatives – TNE” funded under the MUR Call within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), Mission 4 Component 1 Investment 3.4 Sub-measure T4, have the general objective of promoting cooperation with foreign university institutions in order to encourage the internationalization of Italian universities and to promote the Italian higher education model as a best practice at the international level.

The call is addressed to students and doctoral candidates regularly enrolled at the University of Teramo, interested in undertaking a period of international mobility for study or training and research activities at partner universities and institutions in third countries listed in Annex 1 – PNRR TNE Project Sheet (Annex 1) to this call.

Available destinations:

  • ENGINES – Nigeria, Burundi
  • HEALTH CONNECT – Thailand, China
  • MOVING ITALIANNESS – Argentina

The mobility activities, with a minimum duration of 2 months, must be completed by March 31, 2026, and include the provision of a monthly financial grant as well as a contribution towards travel expenses.

TNE23-00047 ENGINES Project – Call for student mobility


The University of Molise provided the guidelines for the selection calls for incoming students, and the calls were subsequently carried out by the partner universities, which were responsible for the selection process.

Calls are for students in all three cycles, depending on the partner university. The activities to be carried out, all lasting a maximum of 5 months, are based on attendance of courses, thesis research, scientific and laboratory collaboration.

Promote incoming mobility by foreign students by promoting the internationalisation of training provision and academic exchange between institutions. In particular, in the themes of the ENGINES project, mobilities have the objective of consolidate joint research in the fields of agro/food and landscape, and of support the future implementation of dual-title programmes in the areas of assets cultural and linguistic.
