Teaching Week – “G. D’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara
From 6 to 10 October 2025, the Teaching Week was held at the “G. D’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara, as part of the activities of the project TNE23-00047 “ENhancing Governance and INnovation capacities for the higher Education System regeneration – ENGINES.”
The initiative aimed to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation between Italian and African universities, promoting the sharing of knowledge, teaching methods, and innovative research approaches. Partner institutions included Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Ghana), Kenyatta University (Kenya), Mohammed V University of Rabat (Morocco), and Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar (Senegal).
During the Teaching Week, faculty members, PhD students, and representatives of African delegations had the opportunity to discuss shared opportunities and challenges for higher education and joint research, laying the groundwork for new scientific partnerships and the development of joint degree programmes.
The activities included lectures, workshops, and networking sessions, complemented by visits to centers of excellence within the University, such as CAST, ITAB, and the “Santo Spirito” Hospital in Pescara, fostering meaningful dialogue between research, innovation, and the local community.
