The main aim of ENGINES (ENhancing Governance and INnovation capacities for the higher Education System regeneration) is to strengthen HEI’s innovation capacity by boosting innovation through cooperation and flow of knowledge for providing new skills and coping with skills mismatches, by designing and creating new learning tracks supporting the development of a sense of initiative and entrepreneurial mind-sets.
The focus will be on talent and skills development. The activities will be implemented in the framework of 7 WPs.
UNIVAQ
UNIVAQ (University of L’Aquila) offers several programs in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Sport Science, Medicine, Engineering, ICT. Dozens of projects in all EU Programmes, 12 double degrees, 4 Erasmus Mundus JMD promote international cooperation.

Established in 1952 and located in L’Aquila, administrative centre of the Abruzzo Region, our University is a public teaching and research institution offering a full range of academic programmes including biotechnologies, sciences, economics, engineering, education, humanities, medicine, psychology, and sport sciences. With 7 departments, the University of L’Aquila offers its over 19,000 enrolled students 69 degree courses (divided between first and second level degrees), 9 research doctorate programmes, specialisation schools, specializing-master courses and vocational courses. Many members of its distinguished faculty of about 600 professors and researchers have received international recognition and are considered leaders in their fields of research.

GSSI (Gran Sasso Science Institute) is an international PhD school and a center for research and higher education in the areas of Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science and Social Sciences.

UNIURB
UNIURB (Urbino University) offers degree and PhD programs in Humanities, Modern Languages Sociology, Cultural Heritage, Applied Sciences and Sports Science with African and Middle East Universities, including Erasmus Mundus.

UNIPG (University of Perugia) is renowned for its contributions to the arts and sciences. It continues to maintain a tradition of academic and research excellence in various disciplines.

UNICH (‘Gabriele D’Annunzio’ University) developed capacity of international cooperation through several projects and one Erasmus Mundus JMD.

There are two university campuses: Chieti, registered office of the university with the offices of the Rector and General Directorate and Pescara.

UNITE (University of Teramo) offers 2 undergraduate and postgraduate international collaborations programs. Areas: Law, Political Science, Communication Science, Agro-Food, Veterinary Medicine.
