The Universidade de Vigo is a young and dynamic institution that offers a wide range of training programs in the three specialized and innovative campuses that make it up.
We are present in the municipalities of Ourense, Pontevedra and Vigo with three specialized campuses where you will find more than 30 centers for training and research, as well as facilities for sports and leisure, with a continuous cultural program. We also have the Campus of International Excellence Campus do Mar lead by the Universidade de Vigo and which adds more than 3000 researchers, forming a cross-border network of research and knowledge with the sea as a driving force.
In our campuses you can study 121 official degrees and masters, 39 doctoral programs, 7 joint programming degrees and 4 degrees with mutual recognition agreements with foreign universities. We also offer hundreds of programs, events, workshops and language courses and, of course, our Seniors university program.

Academics
Ernesto Lopez-Valeiras
Ernesto Lopez-Valeiras is Associate Professor of Accounting at the Universidad de Vigo, Spain.
His areas of interest include management accounting and control systems, organizational innovation and SMEs management. He authored several books and his research has been published in international journals.
He is member of the Management Accounting Committee of the Spanish Association of Accounting and Business Administration (AECA).
Silvia Ruiz Blanco
She has developed her academic career at the University of Vigo from her beginnings as an assistant to her current position as associate professor. Her main research line is Corporate social responsibility communication and she has published in well-know and recognized journals.
She has also participated or coordinated various learning projects at the University of Vigo, related to the adaptation to the European Higher Education Area as well as the use of new technologies in teaching.
Since 2006, she has collaborated in several similar European projects, as the current ASSET: Intensive study programs (previous Erasmus program), and the Erasmus+ ILPA, DIPCAT and STAMP.
Roberto Graña
Roberto Graña has been an Assistant Professor at the University of Vigo since 2026. He obtained his PhD in Accounting in 2023 and previously taught at the University of Burgos until 2025.
His teaching focuses on accounting, and his research interests lie in management accounting and control, with a particular emphasis on entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). His work examines how key entrepreneurial characteristics, such as financial literacy, together with the use of accounting and management control systems, support decision-making, especially in contexts of uncertainty. His research has been published in leading journals in the fields of management and accounting.
He is a member of the Early Career Researchers Network of the Spanish Association of University Professors in Accounting (ASEPUC).
