Final Event of the ITACA Project – 4 December 2025, Milan

The event, titled “UNIVERSITY COLLABORATIONS WITH AFRICA FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE: A new agenda from the ITACA project”, will take place on December 4, 2025, in Milan, at ALTIS, Aula SV013-SV014, Via San Vittore 18, starting at 9:00 AM and concluding at 5:00 PM.
Uniurb is directly involved in the program: Prof. Barbara Francioni (Associate Professor, UNIURB) will participate in Panel 1 (10:00 – 10:45 AM), focusing on university collaborations on research & teaching between Italy and Africa.

The day’s program includes:

  • Institutional introduction with the participation of Rector Prof. Elena Beccalli, the Director of ITACA and the Piano Africa Unicatt Prof. Mario Molteni, and representatives from the MUR

  • Panel dedicated to Italy–Africa academic collaborations, with interventions from UNITO, UNIVPM, UNIURB, and UCSC

  • Impact stories from partners and students involved in the activities

  • Panel on innovative models of cooperation

  • Thematic working tables on inequalities, climate change, culture, and academic mobility between Italy and Africa

  • Keynote by the European Commission on the opportunities of the AU–EU Research and Innovation Agenda

Students’ Projects – Services Marketing and Management course

The presentation marks the concluding moment of the Services Marketing and Management course at the School of Economics/DESP. The students will share the projects they have developed. Of the 19 participants in the course, 17 are students from the ITACA project, bringing international and intercultural perspectives that have significantly enriched the quality and diversity of the proposals.

The presentations will take place in Urbino, at Palazzo Battiferri, Via Saffi 42, according to the following schedule:

  • Monday 24th November, h. 9:00 – 11:00, Aula Blu
  • Tuesday 25th November, h. 11:00 – 13:00, Aula 14

Presentation of the TNE ITACA Project at University of Urbino

TNE-ITACA-Urbino

The ITACA (Internationalizing ITalian ACademia with Africa) project creates a permanent platform for academic cooperation between Italian and African universities. Through mobility programs, joint courses, and advanced training, ITACA promotes inclusion, innovation, and knowledge exchange on key topics such as the green economy, the agri-food sector, energy, and culture.

On October 15, 2025, the press conference for the presentation of the ITACA Project will take place at 11:00AM at the Aula Magna of Palazzo Bonaventura, Via Aurelio Saffi 2, Urbino.

The event will be an important opportunity to present ITACA’s objectives, ongoing activities, and the results achieved so far.

The conference will be live-streamed on the University’s official channel uniurb.it/live allowing all interested parties to follow the presentations remotely.
